Ha the little extra's in life. As some of you might know, I'm part of the Postnuke CoreDev Team (
http://www.postnuke.com). Now recently, Kevin Hatch wrote a book on Postnuke called "Postnuke Content Management" and he arranged to have the CoreDev's have their own copy. I just received mine today.
Going through the book, I noticed this one to be a perfect asset for any Postnuke user. It's crampted with useful information that hardly makes it out there. I'd like to recommend it to anybody who wants to build a professional website.
Today I've been promoted to Project Leader on ContentExpress. Read more about it
here.
ContentExpress is Postnuke module intended to allow you to put static content in your Postnuke site. It has an online WYSIWYG editor and a fullblown menu system. Check it out at
xexpress.org.
Today bcPhpHighlight got released.
bcPhpHighlight is a Postnuke hook that gives you the ability to use a [phps] bbcode tag. This tag will format the php code into a colorized version. It uses the highlight_string function in PHP to do so.
Check it out in the download section (free registration required).
bcPhpInfo is a Postnuke module that shows you the output of the phpinfo (http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.phpinfo.php) and phpcredits (http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.phpcredits.php) and all their options inside the Postnuke framework. It also contains a hook for module developers to show the available variables provided by PHP in hook-ready Postnuke modules.
The module is available in the Download section (registration required).
I've seen a lot of Postnuke modules showing phpinfo(), however never one that shows it inside your postnuke theme frame. So it was time to create one
I've also inserted a hook, so that developers can call phpinfo variables whenever they feel like debugging.
A little preview can be seen
here.
Of course the main part will be inside the administration where you can see the whole (or chopped up) output of phpinfo().
The theme bcPortal that is currently used by BraveCobra.com is now available for download. So, head over to the downloads pages (registration required) and have it on your own Postnuke site.
Let us know what you think.

I've updated the theme bcCorporate and I've added a zip download too. So, here's version 0.2!
The admin messages should show too now and the horizontal bar issue is now fixed too.
If you were to find any more issues, don't hesitate to let me know so I can fix them
I said I would and so I did. I've released the bcCorporate theme. This is the theme that is currently used by BraveCobra.com and
ContentExpress.
This theme was originally made by Arising.net(ContentExpress module) and has been reverse engineered and optimized.
Check for it in the download section. (Remember: you'll need to be registered to download it)
I've written a little app to help translating Postnuke modules: PNModuleTranslator. Together with PNModuleCreator that will become a valuable app for administrating your Postnuke website. There is both a Windows and a Linux version available.
Translating the Postnuke core translation is not supported (yet).
Note that this is only the beta version for now and it may still have some little bugs in it. Please, report them at the forum, should you find any
Just minutes ago we released the new version of the all known Postnuke module ContentExpress: 1.2.4.10. This release has some very interesting new feature that haven't been seen on postnuke sites before. A lot of hard work and long hours have gone into this release, I can assure you. So head over to the
sourceforge page and have it installed on your own Postnuke website.
I've created a litte Postnuke block that can display a SourceForge project's details in a block. The block is based on the export functions, provided by
SourceForge.
Being an active Postnuke ContentExpress Module Developer, I choose to have that project as demo for this block.(look on the right below)
You can download the block at the Download section (You'll have to be registered).
Just a little program for Postnuke Module Developers I wrote. I found myself copying the template module over and over again when starting a new module and deleting the code, adjusting the comments. No more... This program creates those files for you. You can find a Linux and a Windows version in the downloads section. You'll need to register to download them. Lucky that it's free
I don't think there has been such a quick release of Postnuke after the previous as now. Version .723 can now be downloaded at the Postnuke site. The why? Well, since .722 contained a big change to to core code, some security leaks were found and made the release a lot quicker to be released than expected.
So to all of you who have .722 running, upgrade your version to .723 to avoid getting hacked! I've upgraded my site here as soon as I heard about it.
I've been working on a module called FGames. There used to be one by dogdoo.net, however they discontiued the project. So, I picked up where they left.
The programming stage has finished now and left the module to the beta testers. As soon as they 're finished with it, I'm releasing it and making it available for download. That should around next week.
And pretty soon, I'd say. Anyway, the new version 0.722 is out and ready to be installed on your website. Have a look @ the
PostNuke Webiste for more details on what is changed in the latest version.
I heard they did a lot of bugfixing on pnHTML, which sounds very promising.
They also included pnGuide, a new feature. You have all the documentation available right @ your own site.
Today, Release Candidate 2 of the Dutch Postnuke translation has been released @
http://postnuke.gamehost.nl. Head over there if you want your site to be in Dutch too.
The dutch language files are released a day early. You can find them @
http://postnuke.gamehost.nl.
There will be an addon pack released soon too. This one covers several 3rd party translations.
I got the remarks that the XP themes I released, didn't support centre blocks. Indeed, this wasn't included in the original code.
For both XP-Silver and XP-Olive, version 1.11 has come out and they do support centre blocks now. Head over to the download section en get those centre blocks showed on your website.
After the positive reactions (and not too many bug reports), I've looked into the OnlineEdit code again and repaired all the reported bugs. So I'm releasing OnlineEdit 2.11, now available in the download section (You'll have to register first).
As you know, I've rewritten the XP-Silver theme, currently the theme @ bravecobra.com and XP-Olive theme. So if you like these themes, head over to the download section.
The themes are compatible with PN.714 and PN.721
As a reaction to the comment I posted on
http://mods.postnuke.com, I created a little module on virus information myself.
A demo version is running here @ bravecobra.com.
As a registered user, you can head over to the download section to get Virus feed running on your website too.
The Dutch translation site of Postnuke is back online. Just thought you might like to know this!
Head over there to follow the progress of the translation for Postnuke .721
The Dutch translation site of Postnuke is temporarily offline. Seems there is a problem with the hardware. The site should be online again within 48 hours.
Please, bare with us.
The new module Online Edit 2.1 BETA has been released. With this module, you can edit and arrange your files/folders on the webserver through your browser. Head over to the downloads to get it working on your PN site.
Watch out for the specific php.ini settings, though.
